Assistant Manager – Finance/Administration (Bohol Based Distribution Company)


Responsible for planning, leading, organizing and controlling all accounting and administrative functions. Develops, administers the systems and procedures pertaining to the functions of the department. Also responsible to the timely preparations and submission of reports needed by management and government regulatory authorities



  • Plans, directs and controls the activities of the Accounting Department to ensure effective coordination and optimum performance;
  • Develops and recommends accounting policies, systems and procedures to maintain and keep updated books of accounts and other accounting records;
  • Ensure proper implementation and maintenance of an effective accounting system necessary to keep updated books of accounts and other accounting records;
  • Initiates and adopts improvements in accounting policies, procedures guidelines and standards to ensure the accuracy of accounting records and proper accountability of the Company’s assets;
  • Reviews and ascertains correct titles used in cash and check vouchers; accounting entries prior to seeking approval from Manager;
  • Supervises the preparation of Company/s periodic financial statements, supporting schedules and other financial summaries or reports required by management and regulatory agencies;
  • Ensures timely submission of schedules of critical accounts e.g. aging analysis of receivables, details of delinquent accounts, etc. from designated accounting staff to meet the information requirements of other sections concerned;
  • Coordinates closely with internal and external auditors in the examination of accounting records and financial statements;
  • Reviews and countersigns all journal vouchers and check vouchers;
  • Checks and reviews monthly bank reconciliation statements;
  • Reviews payroll computations before submission to Manager for approval;
  • Ensures timely remittance of business and corporate taxes due and payable;
  • Monitors compliance of policies and procedures pertaining to administrative functions and human resources;
  • Develops programs which will enhance the public image of the company
  • Monitors compliance and submission of reports required by Government Authorities / Agencies;
  • Cooperates and coordinates with other managers and supervisors in other departments or sections in areas where they are mutually involved;
  • Performs other tasks as assigned by the superior



  • Graduate of Bachelors of Science in Accountancy;·
  • A Certified Public Accountant;·
  • With a minimum experience of five (5) years as Supervisor of Accounting Department;·
  • Preferably Assistant Manager / Managers specializing in Finance – General/Cost Accounting or equivalent;·
  • Full-Time position(s) available.
